Hi,
I’ve been getting side tracked.
Maybe it’s the baby chickens who want to roost in my hair; or the new bunny rabbit who an animal lover donated to my farm hoping the rabbit would live happily ever after (& I’m really hoping neither a boa snake nor my shepherd gobble up the beloved rabbit); or maybe its the building of a new garden wall or the turmeric I’m trying to sell; or cleaning the guest house….
I’ve been focused on the farm recently and all it holds.
That’s what I’ve been up to. I keep meaning to write and then the chickens and the children and sweeping the floors and making myself pots of green tea … the bunny rabbit … ie life. I get side tracked.
Yesterday was the anniversary of my mothers death. 8 years. She was amazing and totally a dictator of our family. On the day she died I saw a hawk over the ocean and again 8 years later a big white hawk. My uncle went to join her on the very same anniversary date depending on which time zone you’re in just today. Goodbye Uncle Patrick. Uncle Patrick used to call me ‘Great Aunt Lucy’. I suppose I was an adult even as a child.
Also I have been teaching my most favorite class online and there is a new season almost upon us - so - women, mostly 40+ or 50ish and upward - this is beautiful healing work - a regular weekly practice - consider joining me and a group of soulful kick ass very wise and ordinary women (like me) - here’s the sign up link: https://members.lucypaget.com/newyear
That is a snap shot of life in Nicaragua recently.
Sending you my love.
Lucy
p.s. if you enjoy reading please consider upgrading and spending your good money on a subscription. It keeps the chickens fed and occasionally I buy a delicious chocolate bar with my writing money … and mostly actually it validates the writing work I do big time … if you do want to spend your money on me it is enormously appreciated. I should probably let the chickens just rummage around the garden only for their food … which… they do… but I give them grain too because they demand it. They tell me it is necessary:) And they threaten if I don’t feed them to eat all the worms out of the worm bin which are not for them!
