Cautionary & Inspirational Tales in Equal Measures on Living the Life of Your Dreams
Welcome to my Substack
Welcome to my substack. This is where I write beautiful and cautionary tales - true stories - about the life I live.
In my 40’s I thought it a worthy endeavour to break free and start living the life of my dreams.
I’ve discovered most of what is written about being a freedom seeker will lead you to a dangerous cove where the tide coming in will threaten to engulf you and leave you stranded.
Is it worth breaking free? I’m sure you’ve wondered what it would be like to shake off the shackles of an ordinary life and do exactly what you were put on this planet to do.
Is it worth breaking free?
Read on because the answer is complicated.
Maybe it’s worth it for you to break free.
BUT FIRST, READ MY STORIES
1. I write about my REAL LIFE. About the road less travelled to living my dreams in Nicaragua in the jungle on an organic farm with kids, animals, surf boards, professional aspirations and degrees stowed away - and the unexpected disasters and accomplishments along the way.
Each of us has extraordinary uniqueness folded inside. But often we end up living off the track of what might be perfect. And then, sometime in our thirties, forties, or fifties, we get tired and sick and we want to change everything. I did. And these are my stories of changing everything.
2. Connection. Community. Friends. Family
You and your connection and getting to know you - is vital. Together we are stronger - always. I used to think I could do it alone. But I was wrong. I can’t do this alone. We need each other and I’m glad I know that now and look forward to connecting with you.
3. The SURPRISING benefit of being a (paid) subscriber
I share my best writing. Stuff I’ve edited, curated, smoothed and polished. About once every week or two you can expect something new. And…. If you subscribe with $$$ there is a surprising, ecological, bee friendly, organic benefit:
MY PAID SUBSCRIBER Benefit: After 12 months of subscription I will have a bee colony sanctuary made in my organic garden for the native, stingless honey bees with your name on it!
